Delete your Zimam Connect account

Removing your account is straightforward — you can do it from the web app or directly from the mobile app.

What happens when you delete

  • Your Zimam ID, name, and email address are removed from our systems.
  • You are removed from any organisations you belong to.
  • Push notifications stop immediately and your notification history is cleared.
  • Tickets, replies, and knowledgebase articles you authored stay in the system but become anonymous (attributed to a "Deleted user") so collaborators' records remain intact.
  • Active sessions on every device are revoked.
  • The same email address can be used to sign up again later, but it will be a fresh account with no history.

Delete from the mobile app

  1. Open Zimam Connect on iPhone or Android.
  2. Tap the Account tab.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Type your email to confirm, then tap Delete my account.

Delete from the web app

  1. Sign in at connect.zimamsys.com.
  2. Open Account → Security.
  3. Scroll to Delete account, type your email to confirm, and click Delete my account.

If you cannot sign in

If you cannot access your account, email privacy@zimamsys.com from the address registered on your Zimam ID. Subject the email "Delete account" — we will verify ownership and delete the account within 30 days.

Data retention after deletion

Anonymised support records (tickets, replies, attachments you uploaded) are retained as part of the operational history of the organisations you participated in. Backup copies are rotated out within 30 days. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics data is retained indefinitely.

Sole-administrator accounts

If you are the only administrator of an organisation, promote another member to administrator before deleting your account, so the organisation is not orphaned. You can do this from the Team tab inside Zimam Connect.
